Professional development at the CBC emphasizes active, hands-on learning. Our programs are designed for professionals across a variety of fields, including:

With access to the Cahaba River, forests, prairie, limestone glades, caves, springs, streams, and other natural areas, professional learning at the CBC goes beyond the traditional workshop setting.
Participants can make observations, ask questions, collect data, practice field techniques, and explore connections among geology, water, plants, wildlife, and people. These immersive experiences provide opportunities to build knowledge and skills through direct interaction with the natural environment.
